The Moorish-style dressing room at Franks Hall, Horton Kirby, Kent

Charles Latham photographed Franks Hall in 1894 and 53 of his images were reproduced in an album called 'Franks Illustrated' by printers Hudson & Kearns. Edward Hudson went on to establish 'Country Life Illustrated' in 1897 and Latham was employed by the magazine between 1898 and 1908. His atmospheric record photography helped to set the tone for the magazine.
