Dividing the central arch, we can distinguish the mullion made up of a large granite block, which has various columns around it. The front column, carved in marble with relief scenes in which the tree of Jesse is represented, justifying the earthly descent of Christ. It begins, at the bottom, with the figure of Jesse, from whom the tree emerges, following the prophecy of Isaiah: “a shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse…”. After Jesé, King David, and then the Virgin Mary, his progenitor, and who doesn’t touch the branches, to emphasize his immaculate character.
