"The Poetry of Primes" is the event curated by Piergiorgio Odifreddi, which tries to demonstrate how mathematics is a tool to understand the beauty in the world better. It consists of five major exhibitions, built around two itineraries - one historical and educational, one artistic - an interactive workshop and numerous events.
From June to November there will be many protagonists who, through their testimonies, will show the many aspects of the multifaceted world of mathematics. Worth mentioning are Piero Angela, Nobel Prize for Literature John Coetzee, Academy Award winner Nicola Piovani, inventor of mathematical games Ian Stewart, physicist Guido Tonelli, high-profile mathematicians Claudio Bartocci, Luigi Civalleri, Alberto Conte and Paolo Zellini. Also taking part will be Roberto Cingolani, Moni Ovadia, Valeria Solarino, David Riondino along with artists Ugo Nespolo and Tobia Ravà. Works by Aldo Spizzichino and Federico Giudiceandrea will also be exhibited.
It is a journey inside and outside ourselves in the land which centuries ago belonged to Pythagoras.
