Choreography by Vasily Vainonen to the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and libretto by Marius Petipa and Vasily Vainonen. Costumes and set by Vladimir Firer and Aleksandr Khramtsov. In Act Two, after the events with the mice, the Nutcracker transforms into a prince and takes Clara to the Land of Sweets. The Sugar Plum Fairy welcomes Clara to the palace.
