Ogdensburg, United States

The Outlaw’s title refers to the horse rather than the rider, contrary to what one might expect. It is an outlaw in its disobedience, trying to buck off the rider. This bronze is similar to The Broncho Buster, with the provoked horse trying to rid itself of the rider. Remington created 22 different subjects in bronze. The Outlaw was the 14th sculpture.
