Picture of the harbour of Doel. After the second World War Flandria started with the ferry service Doel-Liefkenshoek-Lillo, then followed by the ferryline Kruibeken-Hoboken. In 1978 Flandria also took over the ferry service Basel-Hemiksem. In the 1990's the shipping company Flandria was declared bankrupt due to declining passangers numbers and charges of corruption.
