In July 2008, after the restorations in the Gallery of Alexander VII, a monochrome reappeared depicting two putti holding an ovate with the glimpse of Santa Maria del Popolo and the internal elevation of the Porta del Popolo in the Berninian arrangement of 1655, when Alessandro VII wanted to make a worthy and not ephemeral apparatus for the triumphal entry of Christina of Sweden into Rome, scheduled for December of that year.
