Biography: Ganesh Pyne was born in Calcutta in 1937. He completed his Diploma in Drawing and Painting from the Government College of Art & Craft in Calcutta in 1959. In the early 1960s, he animated films made at Mandar Mullick’s studio. In 1963, he became a Member of the Society of Contemporary Artists. He participated in group shows like the Paris Biennale in 1969, International Festival of Paintings in France, 1975 and contemporary Art of Asia, Japan, 1980. He passed away 2013.
