The protein factory

This exhibit is a mechanical reproduction of the structure of DNA; the visitor can rotate a knob to unfold the DNA layers by detecting the colored areas and verifying how the corresponding amino acids work to form a protein.
In this way they explore the fact that our DNA enables the process of transcription and translation. Graphic elements provide additional information on this phenomenon.
