The radio is on strike

Radio employees began to demand that the public be provided with truthful information. The directors led by Karel Weinlich established the Civic Forum of Czechoslovak Radio, while the trade unionists mobilised and formed a  strike committee. Radio employees also actively participated in the demonstrations and eventually forced the res-ignation of the radio’s Director General, Karel Kvapil.
