The view of rice fields of Cheorwon from the Ice Cream Highland Observatory. The Cheorwon area was extensively cleared for rice cultivation in the 1920s. However, it was devastated by the Korean War, but since the 1960s, it has been newly created as a representative granary through the state-led agricultural mechanization and agricultural industrialization projects.
