Ceremonially, the ritual experts of the Maasai Eunoto ceremony (transition to manhood) slit open the bull’s dewlap and spread it wide. The blood wells into the cavity into which milk will be poured and then each candidate will drink from the dewlap. Here, each Moran (warrior) takes his turn to sip the fresh blood.
