Global energy demand is increasing rapidly, it is clear we need a low carbon power supply that is reliable, flexible and affordable and importantly, can produce more power in more places, much faster. Compact nuclear power stations – known as small modular reactors - will play a major role for their ability to decarbonise entire energy systems.
