The Romleys at Home, Vogue

Architect Frederick Romley (known as Derek Romley) and his wife, Elizabeth, in their New York apartment, which he designed himself. They are photographed here in the "everything room" which features an eclectic mix of Pop Art and odd furniture. She leans on Mr. Romley's desk, which was designed by Mario Garcia and he reclines on a silver cushioned platform. Hung high on the wall is a series of Josef Albers lithographs called "Homage to the Square." Between the Romleys, on the back wall, is a hardware store display of colored bulbs that flash lights; next to that is a prototype by Andy Warhol for the Campbell's soup-can shopping bag. They both wear brightly colored clothes.
