The Room X

As the lockdowns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic came into full force, Musah Yussif saw the parallels in a film that he had seen. With the series titled ‘The Room,’ Musah Yussif uses his confinement as a stage and his routine as a performance. We see in the series, the mundane things that have been our lives. Musah Yussif (b.1997, Ghanaian/Malian) is an artist based in Kumasi, Ghana. He graduated with a BFA in Painting and Sculpture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (2019). He uses charcoal, pastel, and metallic paint for his works. Yussif has previously exhibited in Algorithm of Death and Fear (2019), KNUST-Kumasi.
