The Royal Society's conversazione

Seven figures of exhibits at the Royal Society's conversazione, or soirée, at Burlington House, London, on the evening of 13 May 1904.

The figures are numbered and captioned: 1. Cutter of the Brandt hydraulic drill. 2. A Hydnophytum longifolium from the Fiji Islands. 3. Photograph illustrative of induced radio-activity of bacteria. 4. An improved muffle and melting furnace for use in laboratories. 5. A plant with tubers from the High Andes. 6. A radial area-scale. 7. Edison's secondary battery for automobiles.
