Representatives of various denominations stand behind a scale and praise their goods being weighed. The scale with a simple Bible sinks toward the side with Martin Luther and Huldrych Zwingli (Jean Calvin was presumably cut off). On the Catholic side, by contrast, the pan is filled with liturgical implements and books. It rises in spite of the effort of an Old Believer to hang on a chain to weigh it down.
