The Sister Landscape

For Maïmouna Patrizia Guerresi (1951) the space of nature becomes synonymous with a place of the soul: a contemplative and spiritual territory where you can come into contact with the energy of the feminine capable of revealing inner worlds. The photographic series "The Sisters" sees the protagonists of the two daughters of the artist, of different nation, culture and religion, that become a metaphor of two different worlds but spiritually similar, that dialogue and meet. Hieratic and mystical attitudes distinguish the two figures captured in their daily and intimate moments.
