1996's Parade included a very special double-sided lamé Aboriginal flag. It was a tribute to Matthew Cook, who had passed away the year before, and had wished his mob could carry a huge Aboriginal flag along the Mardi Gras route. His wish was granted. Here's the float organisers Louise Bell and Sue Pinkham with other float participants in Taylor Square.
