Wajuk, Balardung, Kija and Yulparitja man, Clinton Pryor, walked almost 6,000 kilometres from Western Australia to Canberra, via Uluru and Sydney, to raise awareness of Aboriginal issues. The journey took him almost a year and ended on Father’s Day, 3 September 2017, at the Aboriginal Tent Embassy on the steps of Old Parliament House, where a corroboree was held to celebrate his arrival. He met Aboriginal elders on the way, and raised their concerns with federal politicians including Opposition Leader Bill Shorten and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. He also met with Governor-General Peter Cosgrove at Government House.
