The Storming Monopoly Fort, or the Directors in Dismay

This is a political cartoon is about the renewal of the East India Co.'s Charter in 1813. The East India Company is represented by the classically dressed young lady collapsed on the ground, who is being attacked by Cabinet members Melville, Vansittart, Buckinghamshire, Castlereagh and Sidmouth. Her rescuer is Randle Jackson, Parliamentary Counsel to the Company.
