The Story of the Kelly Gang (1906) directed by Charles Tait.

The Story of the Kelly Gang opened in Melbourne on Boxing Day 1906. Over an hour long, it is thought to be the world's first feature-length film. One review noted: 'In all the realms of fiction no more romantic or sensational subject could be found than … the history of the notorious Kelly gang.' Only a few of the actors have been positively identified, including John Forde as Dan Kelly and Elizabeth Tait as Kate Kelly. Evidence suggests that Frank Mills played Ned Kelly. Today only a quarter of this epic film survives. Some of the stills included on the daybill are from lost scenes.
