At the Shuttle Landing Facility, the STS-103 crew is greeted by Loren Shriver, Deputy Director for Launch and Payload Processing, upon their arrival aboard T-38 jets to make final preparations for launch. From left are Mission Specialist C. Michael Foale (Ph.D.), Pilot Scott J. Kelly, Mission Specialist John M. Shriver was the commander of the STS-31 crew which originally deployed the telescope in April of 1990. The STS-103 mission, to service the Hubble Space Telescope a third time, is scheduled for launch Dec. 11 at 12:13 a.m. EST from Launch Pad 39B
