This post card, mailed April 7, 1906, to Mrs. April B Mimms of Newport, Tennessee: "I've visited this Park very often, was here today, am having a fine time. Atlanta is a lovely city. I am well. How is the boy. With love. SE.B." The sunken gardens were a popular leisure spot for Atlantans visitng Grant Park during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
