In spring 2017, Argentinian artist Adrián Villar Rojas has created a site-specific installation for The Met's Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden. The installation is the fifth in a series of commissions for the outdoor space.
Encompassing an entirely new environment, the exhibition includes 16 sculptures that fuse human figures with replicas of nearly 100 objects from the Met’s collection, as well as the refurbishment and extension of the existing pergola, additional plantings, bespoke public furniture, two monochrome floor surfaces and a custom-made bar and a catalogue.
