The Theology

These two figures carved on the doors shows the allegory of Theology. On the right, a male figure with glasses and a long beard holds a closed book and represents the Holy Scripture; on the left, instead we find the personification of the Church: a woman wearing a papal tiara, she had a cross around her neck and holds a sphere with her hand.
