The longest-running Kaufmann's eatery, The Tic Toc Restaurant opened in 1955 as part of a grand expansion of the downtown Pittsburgh Kaufmann’s. The name paid homage to the famous Kaufmann’s clock, which decorated both the restaurant tables and menus.
