Long barrow funerary monuments date from the Early and Middle Neolithic periods (3400-2400 BC). Toots Long Barrow is a roughly rectangular mound around 73m long, 27m wide and 3.5m high. It is sited on a ridge forming the watershed between tributaries to the Nailsworth Stream and River Frome.
