The tower and ruins of the Church of St George the Martyr, St George's Street, Canterbury, Kent

This photograph was taken by the Ministry of Works a month after the Church of St George the Martyr was severely damaged by aerial bombing during the Second World War. The view shows the efforts that were made to support and stabilise the c15th century tower. The remainder of the church was eventually demolished.
