Biography:
Across her portfolio of travel, lifestyle, current events and portrait photography, Nicola Bailey’s work speaks volumes about her love for people, connectedness and community. From her bases of New York City and Sydney, she travels frequently doing work for editorial, not-for-profit and commercial clients. When Nicola’s not shooting, she works as the Photo Editor for the travel site www.adventure.com. She is also an avid teacher of her craft, running workshops for kids and adults, as well as photography tours locally and internationally. She has been involved in a number of solo and group exhibitions in Australia, Europe and the US. Nicola’s work has been published in a variety of mainstream and alternative media. She is the recipient of awards from the Walkley Foundation for Journalism, the Head On Photo Festival, as runner up Emerging Photographer of the Year from Capture magazine, and most recently, an award for outstanding achievement from the Sydney Institute of Photography.
