National Treasure. Based on the ink writing at the bottom 'the fourth month in the year of Imjin or the ninth year of Emperor Sunchi (順治九年壬辰四月日)’, the painting is preseumed to have been made in 1652 (third year of King Hyojong). It was painted in the mid 17th century, three years after the completion of hanging painting of Buddha of the Bosalsa Temple. It is a valuable artwork that contributes greatly in studying the buddhist paintings of the Cheungcheong area.
