The Water Journey

Artist Statement: Water is often viewed as the source of life. It’s fundamental to life and our existence. We are all made of water, and water is, in all of its states, a vital element of our inner and outer worlds. From liquid to solid to vapor, water is a symbol for metamorpho- sis and creation itself.

I tried to imbue this work with symbols representing life’s journey, with water in the leading role. I have been inspired by water as the energy, motion, purification, cohesion and transformation all around us. I’m inspired by the importance of this scarce and precious liquid that brings us the necessary support to live.
