The painting of the Bavarian landscape belongs to the Munich period of Nadežda's painting, and was created during her studies in Munich, during one of her travels in Bavaria when Nadežda paints people and landscapes by nature, which coincides with the transition to Julius Exter's studio, whose paintings en plein air influenced her further painting development. Nadežda wanted to paint in the way that French artists did and as her new teacher Exter insisted - exclusively in the exterior. So going outside Munich, she rented an apartment in the village of Feldvize near the town of Iberze, and every day, full of enthusiasm, she painted landscapes and people around Bavaria.
