The living room in the Los Angeles home of Mr. Frederick R. Weisman and his wife, Marcia Weisman, a couple who made the fortune in business and became prominent art collectors. Their home was decorated by George Hall. Here, you can see many of their art pieces. Over the mantelpiece, hangs a 1945 Willem de Kooning, "Dark Pond." Continuing counterclockwise: an Arshile Gorky (left of mantel); a 1964 large yellow Clyfford Still (on back wall); Wayne Thiebaud's "Lollipop" (seen through door to kitchen); (next to the left) Jackson Pollock's last painting (1955) "Scent"; a Barnett Newman painting "Onement Number 6" with a Newman sculpture in front of it (seen through entrance to the breakfast room/bar); Wassily Kandinsky's 1911 "Yellow Nude" (on the left nude). Sculptures include: Henry Moore;s 1948 bronze "Family Group" (on table in the foreground); a Naum Gabo "Construction" in anodized bronze and wire (right of fireplace); Giacomo Manzu's 1959 "Seated Cardinal" in bronze (on coffee table).
