The wonderful Dr Yusuf Patel

Sue says: "This was a very emotional portrait to paint as Dr Patel had recently passed away from Covid-19. It was requested by a colleague’s wife who felt that it was important for Dr Patel to be remembered as a real NHS hero. He had founded the Woodgrange Medical Practice in Newham, London, many years ago, and was dearly loved by his local community. A terrible loss and an honour to paint his portrait!

Dr Patel’s family were presented with the portrait by Dr Patel’s long term Practice partner and were overwhelmed that this had been done for them. His eldest daughter phoned me to tell me how very special it was for them all."
