The X 37385 of the Nilgiri Mountain Railway

These 12 engines are housed at the Conoor shed of Southern Railway. One of these locomotives 3739X was converted for burning furnace oil/reclaimed oil and is the forerunners in the next series of oil burning steam locomotives. This conversion done during 2002-03 has been very successful. The cost of import was 1,27,095.
