The yeongdo, colored in yellow and thus symbolizing earth, is a set of four small drums on a long pole. It is decorated with a white heron on top. When played with a twisting motion, the fine leather straps hit the eight drumheads and make sounds. It is arranged for sacrificial rituals offered specially to the earth deities.
