The buiding closed as a theatre in 1848. In the years after that it was used as a corn chandlers, a wine store, an auction room, furniture repository and paper store until the 1930s when the fixtures of the theatre were rediscovered. This photograph was taken before the began to be used as a theatre again in the 1940s.
