There is no Explosive in This

The series 'No Explosive in This' includes work produced across different mediums, including performance art and photography. The series began with a performance in which the artist asked 100 participants to carry bags and suitcases around the streets of London, covered with the words, THERE IS NO EXPLOSIVE IN THIS. In this work which illustrates everyday objects confiscated at airports, she addresses the climate of fear that is a part of life in many parts of the world, due to threats of various kinds. Territorial borders, the unexplained disappearance of people in war are some of the themes that she incorporates into her work.
