The Thyagarja temple in Thiruvarur in Tamil Nadu is dedicated to Lord Shiva whre he is worshipped as Vanmiganathar. This temple was built during the Chola dynasty in the 9th century.
The annual chariot festival of the Thygarajaswamy temple is celebrated during April-May and attended by lakhs of devotees and is said to be the biggest in Asia.
