Thoracata sculpture of roman emperor

Sculpture which represents a deified emperor. Almost all of the torso, the right leg and the left shoulder and other loose elements which may have belonged to the same piece have been preserved. The male figure is standing up, is barefoot and ;has military armour. Two griffins facing one another and a central candelabra can be seen on the shield; there is an Oceanus mask below the neck and some spirals forming roses decorate the front, stomach area and sides. This sculpture follows the model of Augustus of Prima Porta. The place in which it appeared ; has been identified with the Temple of Hercules (Cádiz), in Sancti Petri, and thus we can assume that it was located there.
