Three Bodhisattvaｓ

Akino enjoyed rubbings of Chinese Buddhist images, and these were painted to resemble the black lines of rubbings. Rubbings of Buddhist images on paper appear to reverse the hills and valleys of the images, but this piece gives an impression of soft, rounded curves, finishing up the work with a simplistic feeling.
