The boy in the center is almost in profile to the left, also wearing a hat; he has suggested facial features and appears to be wrapped in a checkered cloth, composed of geometrical areas in various shades. His right arm raised, his hand over his face as if to lift the hat and the left hand holds the right wrist. He is barefoot, and the right foot is further than the the left. The boy on the right faces forward, has short dark hair, suggested facial features, with the left side of the face in shadowed area. He has a naked torso, bent right arm holding the left elbow and bent upward, and the hand is ajar and leaning on his left cheek. He wears knee-high pants of geometrical areas, his legs are slightly apart and he has bare feet. The background is divided into three areas.
