Tallinn City Museum
Tallinn, Estonia

Such bronze three-legged cooking pots, called grapen in German, were prized as cooking vessels both in the towns and countryside from the 13th to 17th centuries. Ceramic grapens were widespread, too. This item was found in a swamp near the road to Tartu in Jüri parish, 14 km from Tallinn.
