Posthumous portrait of Tiberius wearing the civic crown (of oak or ilex leaves). Broken in ancient times, the fragments were fixed with iron rods that led to them splitting. The youthful features of this posthumous representation of the emperor, similar to those of Caligula, suggest it was sculpted during the reign of his successor, or during the first years of that of Claudius. It was part of a gallery of Julian-Claudian family portraits in the Forum of the “Colonia”.
