Ai Xuan, born in 1947 in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, now Lives and works in Beijing Ai graduated from the Flne Arts School Affiliated to China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1967. He began to work in an oil painting studio at Beijing Fine Art Academy in 1984. Ai is one of the most important artists in Chinese realistic painting, and the "Tibet" series is his most renowned work.
