Tiger, Tiger

This quilt is inspired by a drawing by Willustration.

"I have always been fascinated with how the mind can play tricks. Why does one person see a picture of a vase, and another of two faces; a beautiful woman or a hag? these are just two common examples of types of optical illusions. In this quilt, I have used three types of optical illusions; ambiguous image, figure-ground perception, and anamorphic perception, to hide sixteen tigers in the quilts. There are six in the applique and ten in the quilting. Having trouble finding them? Hint, don't miss the tiger for the trees."
