Tivaevae taorei. Patchwork quilt. Large rectangular shape. Machine sewn design of coloured pieces of cotton fabric cut into small rectangular 'bars' and arranged to create a repeated multicoloured geometric pattern using green, orange, red and yellow. This geometric pattern alternates with a pattern of red and white striped chevrons. Entire patchwork is bordered with unbleached calico (one border missing) but not sewn to a backing sheet - the underside is exposed. Large stain at one border side. Fabric is frayed and stained in many areas.
