Tofua. Waist garment made of from strips of voivoi (pandanus). The waistband consists of mat area woven out in a fine check weave, with green coloured wool interwoven near the top and bottom edges, forming a border around the waistband. Blue coloured wool is also interwoven, decoratively arranged to form loops across the edges of the two sides, and the bottom edge of the waistband. The body of the Tofua consists of ruffled strips of voivoi, consisting of both finely stripped and short wide strips of voivoi. There is a tie at each end of the waistband consisting of braided strips of voivoi, tali tolu (3-ply). Light brown/beige in overall colour.
