Marble statue representing a young prince dressed in a “toga praetexta” with the “bulla aurea” hanging on his chest. It is probably a portrait of either Britannicus or Nero, the designated successors of Claudius I.It was part of a series of effigies of members of the Julian-Claudian imperial family that stood on the “scaenae frons” of the Tarraco theatre.
